Delivery Story

Delivery Details:
We went in to be induced at 5;30 am on Tuesday August 3rd. I did not sleep all night because I was so anxious. The hardest part of the entire day was getting the epidural! It took 45 minutes of poking and prodding. It was so painful, but after it was in the rest was easy.
By 11:50 I was dilated to a nine and the nurse started to call the Doctor to come. I turned onto my side and then the nurse decided to check me again and it was a good thing she did.....Ellie's head was already coming out! The nurse was starting to freak about a bit that the Dr was not there yet and so I started laughing at her. She said "don't laugh...or you will laugh out this baby!". The Dr got there and only 1/2 a push later Ellie was born at 11:53am. She was perfectly healthy and everything was great.
One thing I love about having babies is that Jeff stays with me in the hospital. It is such a special time that I will always cherish. These pics are spot on because they show just how tired we both were!

Wow! What a story!

So why does your wrist band say "fall risk?"

The epidural makes me a fall risk.

I love love the last picture! She is such a cute baby! You are lucky Jeff stays with you. Mark always just goes home. He always gets to antsy if he has to stay in the hospital longer than 2 hours in a row.
